Arizona Astronomy
Flandrau Science Center/Planetarium- Flandrau Science Center is located in Tucson and, as an educational facility, keeps students up to date on activities in the sky.
Fred Lawrence Whipple Observatory- Telescopes include: MMT, Tillinghast, PAIRITEL, Gamma-ray reflector,IOTA Telescopes, Hungarian Automated Telescope
Kitt Peak National Observatory- Kitt Peak National Observatory (KPNO), part of the National Optical Astronomy Observatory (NOAO), supports the most diverse collection of astronomical observatories on Earth for nighttime optical and infrared astronomy and daytime study of the Sun.
Mt. Graham International Observatory Gov. Aker Observatory- The Mt. Graham International Observatory is located on Mt. Graham in the Pinaleno Mountains near Safford , Arizona. The observatory site is operated by the University of Arizona. Mt. Graham is part of the Coronado National Forest .
Steward Observatory- The University of Arizona Steward Observatory and its associated academic division, the Department of Astronomy, form one of the finest centers for astronomical studies in the world.
Whipple Observatory- The Fred Lawrence Whipple Observatory (FLWO) is the largest field installation of the Smithsonian Institution Astrophysical Observatory (SAO) outside Cambridge, MA. Since October 1968, the FLWO has been used as the site for experiments requiring extremely dark skies, dry climate, and good "optical seeing."
