Description - Located between Malvern and Hot Springs, Lake Catherine State Park park is nestled in the Ouachita Mountains on the shore of 1,940-acre Lake Catherine. Report: We loved it. Although all the cabins and camp sites were full, we never felt crowded or like our space was being invaded. This park is a great place to rest and restore your soul!!!

Report: Lake Catherine State Park is a lovely facility! There are 3 nice hiking trails with varying degrees of difficulty. The trails are well marked and well kept and the easy trail leads to a lovely waterfall. There are plenty of beautiful rest spots along the way with gorgeous views! I was there the weekend before Memorial Day so things were picking up in the camp. Still the atmosphere was pleasant. The RV facilities were good as well and the bathrooms were standard park fare. The camp personnel were excellent! They're also building a bath house by the beach. The beach was clean and nicely laid out. The whole experience was excellent!
