Description - On Crowley's Ridge in northeast Arkansas, Lake Frierson State Park is known for its year-round fishing and springtime blaze of wild dogwoods.

Attractions - The lake's 335 acres provides fine catches of bass, bream, crappie, and catfish. Park facilities include seven campsites, tables and grills, rest rooms, picnic sites, a playground, self-guided trail, boat rentals, launch ramp, barrier-free fishing pier, and visitor center.

Recreation - Lake Frierson State Park offers visitors camping, picnicking, walking, swimming, boating, and fishing opportunities.

Climate - Arkansas has a temperate climate with the coldest temperatures near freezing during December, January and February. Daytime highs for these months usually reach 55 degrees F. Spring and fall temperatures are very mild with lows dipping to 44 degrees F and highs reaching 70 degrees F. July and August are the hottest months of the year with average temperatures reaching 90 degrees F. June and September average temperatures usually reach into the mid-eighties. Spring and winter months are the wettest of the year.

Location - Lake Frierson State Park is located in the Crowley's Ridge Region of northeastern Arkansas. The park is found 10 miles north of Jonesboro on Arkansas Hwy. 141.
