Silver Falls State Park is intimate in spite of the thunder of its waterfalls.Slow down to take in a peaceful countryside, rural towns that beam with Oregon history, shops, galleries, fresh fruit and flowers, and family festivals. Visit Oregon's largest winery, the Northwest's finest factory outlet stores, and a magnificent botanical garden.

Visitors to Silver Falls State Park can enjoy fishing, picnicking, camping, visitors center and historic sites among the many activities. Climate - Climate in this region changes with elevation. The area receives a high amount of precipitation. Much of the precipitation comes from October to April in the form of rain at the low elevations and as wet heavy snow in the higher elevations. Winter temperatures are normally cool at the lower elevations and cold at the higher elevations. Although snow is possible in the lowest elevations, it is infrequent and does not stay on the ground for long. Late spring, summer and early autumn bring the best chance for clear, sunny days and bring moderate temperatures. Location -
Silver Falls Tour Route is located in north western Oregon. Directions: Start in the town of Woodburn, at the junction of 99E and Interstate 5, take SR 214 south, passing through the towns of Mount Angel, Silverton, Sublimity and Aumsville. The route ends in the town of Turner.
