General Information

Description - The Ruby Mountains are Nevada`s wettest, and therefore most verdant mountain range. Follow this winding road around the base of 11,249-foot Ruby Dome, up glacially-formed Lamoille Canyon.

Attractions - The Lamoille Canyon Road is known for it's Natural, Recreational and Scenic Attractions.

Directions from : Follow Nevada Highway 227 south-east from Elko toward Lamoille. Before Lamoille, turn right onto the Lamoille canyon road.

Report: Scenic drive to end of road with many trailheads to choose from at this point. Trails were closed with snow while there on 6/1/02. Camping, tables, and restroom facilities available. Would suggest later date to visit for hikers.
