Description - Winding through hilltops of apple orchards, the Apple Blossom Scenic Drive is a beautiful drive along the Mississippi River Valley. From the car, view breathtaking blossoms from many apple orchards blanketing the hillsides, and in the fall, stop at one of many roadside stands for fresh apples, cider, Indian corn, and pumpkins. An officially designated Minnesota Scenic Byway, this 17 mile driving route follows Highway 29 from the towns of La Crescent, Dakota and Nodine.

Directions from : To reach the Apple Blossom Scenic Drive from U.S. 61, take Winona County Road 3 (located half a mile north of O.L. Kipp State Park) to Winona County Road 12 across I-90 and through Nodine to County Road 1. You can follow Winona County Road 12 back through U.S. 61 in Dakota, or turn right on Winona County Road 1 which becomes Houston County Road 29 before ending in LaCrescent.
