General Information

Description - Harbors, Beaches and Parks is dedicated to the preservation and protection of the natural and cultural resources of Orange County, while providing safe and enjoyable places to recreate.

Attractions - County of Orange Harbors, Beaches & Parks has beautiful open spaces, parks, beaches, historic sites, and wilderness fun for everyone. Thanks to a wealth of natural resources and visionary land management, millions of people have and will continue to have year-round access to over 30,000 acres of spectacular land and water where they can experience a number of activities and attractions.

Recreation - Recreations in the County of Orange range from water-oriented sports to nature study to trail use to historical enlightenment and much more.

Climate - A warm, dry Mediterranean climate prevails over Southern California - inland it is hot in the summer, mild in the winter. Coastal areas have a more moderate climate with frequent fog in the summer. Most of the precipitation comes as rain during the winter months. The best seasons to visit are spring and fall but with the generally mild climate, outdoor activities are available year-round in Southern California.
