General Information

Description - Mountain High is Southern California's most popular winter resort. Located only 75 minutes from Los Angeles and Orange County, the area welcomes guests with two distinctly different mountains and a wide variety of lifts and trails. Each base area is complete with ticket windows, restaurants, sports shops, rentals, ski and snowboard schools, and much more.

Recreation - Mountain High offers opportunities for skiing and snowboarding, all within easy reach of the cities of Southern California. Night Skiing is available from 5-10pm daily during the ski season.

Climate - With the huge elevation range, the Los Angeles area experiences tremendous variations in climate. The lower elevations experience relatively warm temperatures year round, with rain much more frequent in the winter months than in the summer months. The high elevations receive enough snow in the winter to support several ski areas. The summers bring warm temperatures to the mountains.

Location - Mountain High is Southern California's closest winter resort with no mountain driving. Located just 75 minutes from L.A. and Orange County, you won't find an easier drive to the mountains anywhere.

From Los Angeles: Mountain High Resort is just 20 minutes off Interstate 15, making it quick to get to and easy to find. Simply take Interstate 10, the 60 Freeway or the new 210 Freeway East to Interstate 15 North. Exit Highway 138 West and make a left on Highway 2. You will find Mountain High just three miles past the town of Wrightwood. Travel time from downtown Los Angeles is just 90 minutes.

From Orange County: The addition of the toll roads has made travel from Orange County even easier. Take the 91 Freeway to Interstate 15 North. Exit Highway 138 West and make a left on Highway 2. You will find Mountain High just three miles past the town of Wrightwood. Travel time from Orange County is less than 75 minutes.
