Description
- Orange County's state park sites all lie along the coast. Cliff's line the beaches here, which are characterized by broad, level expanses of sand. This area is a beach-lover's paradise. Nature preserves which draw bird-watchers, wooded canyons, and bike trails are also of interest.
Recreation - Activities at the state parks sites in this region include: swimming, hiking, biking, camping, picnicking, fishing, surfing, windsurfing and viewing the coastal scenery. Climate - A warm, dry Mediterranean climate prevails over Southern California - inland it is hot in the summer, mild in the winter. Coastal areas have a more moderate climate with frequent fog in the summer. Most of the precipitation comes as rain during the winter months. Location -
