Enjoy lakeside fun at the campground on the shores of the 8,200 acre lake at Green River Lake State Park. If you're a fan of water sports, you're sure to find something to fit the bill, with a sand beach along the lake's edge and a nearby marina offering rental houseboats, ski boats, jet skis and pontoon boats.
- Fresh air and good times couldn’t be better than in this 156-site campground. A grocery, a dump station, and two central service buildings with showers, rest rooms, and a laundry facility are available.
BoatingWater sports enthusiasts will love Green River Lake. The marina offers everything you will need to enjoy the day: 200 covered slips, rental houseboats, fishing boats, ski boats, jet skis, and pontoon boats.
Pick a captain and choose your teams! There is always fun on the basketball and volleyball courts at Green River Lake. Overnight guests may check out sports equipment.
Beautiful lake views and the great outdoors always enhance a family picnic. A picnic shelter is available for rental up to one year in advance. Two playgrounds, picnic tables, and grills provide for hours of entertainment.

Recreation - A 20-mile multi-purpose trail for hiking and mountain biking offers great outdoor fun, exercise, and an opportunity to explore the natural beauty of Green River Lake.

Enjoy sand between your toes and the gentle waves of Green River Lake at the campground beach. Volleyball lovers can almost always find a pick-up game on the sand court, then cool off with a shower in the beach bathhouse, or take an exhilarating swim. A public beach is also available. Seasonal.
Enjoy a day of fishing at Green River Lake. Both the avid angler and the beginning fisherman will enjoy the challenge of fishing for white, largemouth, smallmouth, and Kentucky bass, bluegill, crappie, and muskie.
Climate - This state experiences a temperate climate with nearly 50 inches of rainfall annually. Thirteen inches of snow is an annual average in Kentucky. There are four distinct seasons here with summer temperatures reaching 90 degrees F frequently in July and August. Low summer temperatures dip near 70 degrees F at night. Winter high temperatures often reach 45 degrees with lows dipping below freezing. Spring and fall are particularly pleasant seasons in which to visit Kentucky. Fall months are the driest. The humidity levels in the state average near 54 degrees throughout the year. The humidity during the winter months averages somewhat higher.
