A campground, a 183-acre lake, hiking trails, mini-golf and a new 9-hole golf course are all the ingredients that make Kincaid Lake a popular retreat for campers, fishermen, boaters and golfers.
The golf course is set in wooded, rolling terrain and features undulating fairways. Explore the lake in a rental boat from the marina, or soak up the summer sunshine at the lakeside swimming pool. Surrounded by open woodland, the campground offers quiet seclusion with all of the modern conveniences campers expect.
- Cast away your cares on Kincaid Lake! The lake supports a large population of keeper-size and trophy largemouth bass, as well as an abundance of channel catfish, bluegill, sunfish and crappie. At Kincaid Lake, fishing is a challenge for both the beginner and the avid angler!
Sun worshippers will love the lakeside swimming pool with warm gentle breezes off Kincaid Lake. A bathhouse serves the pool.
Recreation - The marina offers a launching ramp and 38 open boat slips which are available for monthly rental. Open April 1 - September 30, $. (Please check time of operation during spring and fall months.)
For a day on the beautiful 183-acre Kincaid Lake, rental boats are available at the marina. Pontoons, fishing boats, row boats, and pedal boats provide the means to explore the miles and miles of shoreline.
Enjoy camping under the stars at Kincaid Lake! The campground features 84 sites nestled in open woodland, with electric and water hookups, a grocery, playground, and a central service building with rest rooms and showers.
Spend a relaxing day on the new 9 holes, par 36, course. The course is located on a wooded site that features hilly terrain. Several holes feature dramatic changes in elevation.
Climate - This state experiences a temperate climate with nearly 50 inches of rainfall annually. Thirteen inches of snow is an annual average in Kentucky. There are four distinct seasons here with summer temperatures reaching 90 degrees F frequently in July and August. Low summer temperatures dip near 70 degrees F at night. Winter high temperatures often reach 45 degrees with lows dipping below freezing. Spring and fall are particularly pleasant seasons in which to visit Kentucky. Fall months are the driest. The humidity levels in the state average near 54 degrees throughout the year. The humidity during the winter months averages somewhat higher.
Kincaid Lake is located 48 miles southeast of Covington. Take I-275 east to US 27 south to Falmouth, and KY 159 to the park. Kincaid Lake is 61 miles northeast of Lexington. Take US 27 to KY 159.
