Nolin Lake is popular with boaters and fishermen alike, and campers will enjoy the new Nolin Lake Campground, featuring 32 camp sites with water and electricity.

Attractions - Facilites for camping opened in May of 2001. There are 32 camp sites with water and electricity, 20 primitive sites, a restroom/shower building, laundry facilities and dump station. A new playground is located by the sites. Three sites have been adapted for the disabled. Picnic tables and grills are found in the picnic area. No restroom facilities.

Recreation - Bass, walleye, catfish and crappie are the prize catches. There is a launching ramp on the park. Additionally, a sand beach curves along the shore of the lake. There are no restrooms or bathhouse facilities.

Climate - This state experiences a temperate climate with nearly 50 inches of rainfall annually. Thirteen inches of snow is an annual average in Kentucky. There are four distinct seasons here with summer temperatures reaching 90 degrees F frequently in July and August. Low summer temperatures dip near 70 degrees F at night. Winter high temperatures often reach 45 degrees with lows dipping below freezing. Spring and fall are particularly pleasant seasons in which to visit Kentucky. Fall months are the driest. The humidity levels in the state average near 54 degrees throughout the year. The humidity during the winter months averages somewhat higher.

Location - Nolin Lake State Park is north of Mammoth Cave National Park. From Nashville on I-65, take exit 28 at Bowling Green. Turn north on US 31W, 12 to 15 miles, turn left onto KY 101. At a town named Rhoda, KY 101 merges with KY 259. Follow Ky 259 North to KY 728 East. Turn right onto KY 728 East. Approximately 7 miles later, turn left onto KY 1827. Follow KY 1827 to Park. From Louisville on I-65, exit onto the Western Kentucky Parkway at Elizabethtown. Follow the Western Kentucky Parkway to Leitchfield exit (107) onto KY 259 South. From Leitchfield, it's 17 miles on KY 259 South to KY 728 East. Turn left onto KY 728 East. Approximately 7 miles later, turn left onto KY 1827. Follow KY 1827 to the Park.
