Damariscotta State Park

Description - Seventeen acres of park land is rests on the northern tip of Damariscotta Lake. The park offers an opportunity to access the lake for fishing and swimming. Picnic tables and grills are offered for those who wish to enjoy an afternoon outdoor meal between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. from Memorial Day to Labor Day. An old fashioned playground with several swings is next to the beach. Pit toilets available.

- Damariscotta Lake State Park is conveniently located to Jefferson, Maine. The tiny park offers recreation opportunities for residents and visitors alike. The day use facility is enjoyed by those wishing to picnic, swim, fish or enjoy the inland lake scenery.
Recreation - Picnicking, swimming and fishing opportunities are offered at Damariscotta Lake State Park between Memorial Day and Labor Day. No overnight facilities are offered. Climate - The summer vacation haven of Mid Coast Maine sees winter temperatures averaging above 18 degrees Fahrenheit (below -12 Celsius) and average summer temperatures above 68 degrees Fahrenheit (20 Celsius). The Mid Coast Region receives on the average less than 38 inches (97 centimeters) of precipitation each year. Location -
The park is located below the town of Jefferson off SR 32. It sits on the northern tip of Damariscotta Lake. From Jefferson bear right (west) on SR 206 and SR 126. When you come to a T with SR 32, turn left and travel .8 mile to Waldoboro Road which takes you into the park.
