Description - Located on the north shore of Sebago Lake, the park offers 1,300 acres for recreational use at sandy beaches, picnic groves and campgrounds. The clear water of Sebago Lake provides Portland's water supply and supports a high quality freshwater sport fishery for salmon and trout. Songo Lock is nearby and permits a boat trip up the Songo River to Long Lake.

Attractions - The beautiful Sebago Lake State Park features 1,300 acres of recreational opportunities for outdoor enthusiasts. Several sandy beaches offer summer guarded swimming with nearby picnic tables and grills. A boat launch is offered for those seeking the famous landlocked salmon waters. Campground facilities include private sites, modern restrooms and regularly scheduled nature talks.

Recreation - This beautiful shady state park has 250 tent and RV campsites. There are hot showers, dump station and public phone. Sebago Lake offers freshwater fishing, swimming, concession, amphitheater, boat ramp, horseshoes, ball field and playground. In addition, there is a large lakeside picnic area with large shelters and nearby flush toilets. All parking spots are shaded. Hiking trails may be found throughout the park. Trailhead signs are posted along the main park entrance and cairns mark the trails back in the campground and picnic areas. Note: pets are not permitted at this campground.

Climate - The Western Maine Mountains Region, known for its spectacular four seasons, sees average daytime winter temperatures ranging 10 - 14 degrees Fahrenheit (-12 to -10 Celsius) in the northern area and an average of 14 -18 degrees Fahrenheit (-10 to -8 Celsius) in the southern area. Summer unfolds for outdoors enthusiasts with temperatures in the northern area averaging 66 degrees Fahrenheit (19 Celsius) and in the southern area averaging 68 (20 Celsius). Western Maine Mountains Region experiences a wide range of precipitation. From north to south, the area receives an average of less than 38 inches (97 centimeters) to more than 44 inches of precipitation each year. Summer rainfall averages 3 - 5 inches per month.

Location - Off U.S. Route 302 between Naples and South Casco. From the intersection of US 302 and US 11/114, travel south for 2 miles on US 11/114 to State Park Road. Travel west on State Park Road for 1 mile.

Report: Awsome place to go camping. Beautiful beaches, and a beautiful crystal clean lake. Great for boating. Lake does tend to get a little rough at times, however, so you must be careful. I have seen many boats sink on the beach from the powerful waves in my many years at the park
