Recreation - The primary activity for visitors to the Florewood River Plantation State Park is touring the historical plantation, which dates back to the 1850's, providing a unique opportunity to examine the many intracasies of a bygone world.

Climate - Mississippi generally has a temperate climate, with cool winters and warm, humid summers. Freezing temperatures are possible in the winter. Thunderstorms are possible throughout the year, but most common in the spring and summer. Tropical storms occasionally strike the coast during the hurricane season.

Location - Florewood River Plantation State Park is located two miles west of Greenwood, Mississippi, off of United States Highway 82.
