Grenada Lake is best known as a haven for crappie fishermen, but is also well-stocked with bass, bream, and catfish. Hugh White State Park is centrally located between Memphis, Tennessee and Jackson, Mississippi.
- The 64,000-acre Grenada Reservoir, found at Hugh White State Park, is popular for a variety of water sports including fishing and boating. Visitors may choose camping, cabins, or lodges for their overnight accommodations. The park has a bait shop, pool for cabin guests, 24 cabins, a 10-unit lodge and 173 improved and 12 tent camping pads.
Recreation - Recreational activities include fishing, boating, swimming, camping and hiking.
Climate - Mississippi generally has a temperate climate, with cool winters and warm, humid summers. Freezing temperatures are possible in the winter. Thunderstorms and are possible throughout the year but most common in the spring and summer. Tropical storms occasionally strike the coast during the hurricane season.
