Located on scenic Sardis Reservoir just one hour from Memphis, John W. Kyle State Park offers a wide array of recreational opportunities in an area abundant in natural beauty. The historic campus of the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) is just 25 miles away, making Kyle State Park the perfect spot to spend a football weekend.

Attractions - Included in the park is the 58,500 acre Sardis Reservoir. The Sardis Lower Lake has swimming beaches. The park also includes a facilities for group activities. Visitors may choose camping or cabins for their overnight accommodations.

Park amenities include a swimming pool, tennis courts, recreation building, 20 cabin units, 150 - 200 capacity group campsite located on Sardis Lower Lake with adjacent swimming beaches and nature trails.

Recreation - Park activities include swimming, playing tennis, camping and hiking.

Climate - Mississippi generally has a temperate climate, with cool winters and warm, humid summers. Freezing temperatures are possible in the winter. Thunderstorms and are possible throughout the year but most common in the spring and summer. Tropical storms occasionally strike the coast during the hurricane season.

Location - John W. Kyle State Park is located 9 miles east of Sardis off Highway 315, I-55 exit 252.

Report: nice for a family getaway and not have to drive for things to do,they have swimming and hiking,I enjoyed the hiking..
