General Information

Description - The park is comprised of 1,900 total acres and features a 600-acre lake. Wild turkey, deer, squirrels, and ducks and other waterfowl can often be found along the lakeside.

Attractions - The lake offers 13 miles of shoreline full of bass, bream, crappie and catfish offering excellent fishing 24-hours a day. The lake is also a favorite for boating, water skiing and swimming. Aluminum boat rentals are available.

Flint Creek's Water Town with kiddie water slides and four adult giant water slides, is open most of the year.

Flint Creek offers 127 camping spurs. Two Class A campgrounds consist of 34 total campsites. Most of these sites offer sewer hookup. A sanitary dump station is conveniently located for use. Each campground provides a sand beach and a designated swimming area along its shoreline. For those who may not camp in a self-contained RV unite, there are seven bathhouses conveniently located throughout the campgrounds, with toilets, hot water, and shower. Each campground has laundry facilities available.

Within separate areas of the park, Flint Creek Water Park offers 33 rental cabins, which are located adjacent to the lake. These cabins vary in size, style, and accommodations, but each offers a unique experience of home away from home in "Mother Nature's" backyard.

At lunch or dinner, enjoy the picnic area equipped with barbeque grills and picnic tables. For added convenience, Flint Creek also has a private pavilion and lodge hall.

The business district of Wiggins lies two miles outside Flint Creek's entrance gate which features grocery stores, specialty shops, fuel, a hospital, golf course, camping, bait and fishing supplies, video rentals, and restaurants.

Recreation - The lake offers some excellent fishing and is also a favorite for boating, water skiing and swimming. Flint Creek also offers water slides and water based recreation in its water park. Other popular activities include camping, picnicking, hiking, and cabin stays.

Climate - Mississippi lies mainly in the subtropics. The climate is mild with the coldest months experiencing low temperatures near 40 degrees F. Summer temperatures frequently reach 100 degrees F, with coastal breezes providing cooling relief. Humidity is highest in August and September reaching an average close to 90%. The highest rainfall comes during the spring months, but December and January are wet, too. Expect temperatures in the northeastern region to be somewhat cooler than the rest of the state.

Location - Flint Creek Water Park is located on Highway 29 in Wiggins, Mississippi, and an easy 35 miles north of the Mississippi Gulf Coast.

Report: We went there for a family reunion and the lake was great! Some of the cabins were absolutely breth taking but sadly the one we stayed in was horrible. The air conditioning was broken, ants infested the whole place and the appliances worked barely. Cabin #3 is not a winner. The water park was diffrent. It was so crowded and the park did not have enough tubes. I caught one of the life guards sleeping on his post. Even wiwth all the bad stuff i would definetly return. Ill just spend the extras money for a nicer cabin. Flint creek Park rocked.

Ive stayed in both the cabins and the primitive area and both areas are well kept and have beautiful views.
