General Information

Description - Information provided by New Jersey Division of Parks and Forestry Boating. Part of the many state marinas located in New Jersey.

Attractions - Berths: 125; maximum length: 50 feet; draft: 9 feet.

Dockside: Water, electricity.

Other Facilities: Charter/head boats, launch ramp, gas and diesel fuel, holding tank pumpout.<>Nearby Facilities: Ice, bait and tackle, restaurant and repair facilities.

Recreation - Information provided by New Jersey Division of Parks and ForestryBoating. Typical of the state marinas in New Jersey this marina also has tackle, bait, ice and repair facilities. There is also a restaurant at the marina.

Climate - The temperatures in New Jersey vary slightly, with the southern area being the warmest. Winter weather can start by October and is in full force by November, temperatures average 20 to 40 degrees. Spring can begin in mid March and brings temperatures of 50 degrees F, by April temperatures can reach 65 degrees F. Summer weather can extend from late May to mid September, and temperatures often reach 95 degrees during this season with nighttime lows near 65 degrees. Fall weather has temperatures between 65 and 45 degrees F. Precipitation levels in New Jersey are highest from March through August.

Location - Cumberland County

Located on the Delaware Bay approximately 23 miles northwest of Cape May, Fortescue is easily accessible from the bay. Access by land is by way of Millville, Route 555. Follow the signs to Fortescue.
