Report: We were there on June 24,2003.we had stayed at a pritive campground,El Morro Campground, located one mile west of the national park. The entrance to El Morro National Park is right on hiway 53. You can either get there from the town of Gallup or Grants,New Mexico, they are almost equal distance to the park and there are serveral gas stations along the way.The parking lot is divided for cars and for Rver's. The employee's at the national park are very helpful, not only with park information but things in the local area. The walking trail around the mounment is easy to follow, wear comfortable shoes, bring at least a quart of water per person and yes bug spray. I got eaten up by the little critters, you just don't see them they just leave their calling card .take plenty of flim for lots of pictures. The trail is well marked thru out the park. There is a reaturant at El Morro RV Park, its closed on wedenesday, the cook makes great biscuits and gravy
