General Information

Description - Located 45 miles east of Carson City on Nevada 50. Access by paved and improved dirt roads. Surface area of approximately 11,200 acres at full reservoir storage with 69 miles of shoreline. Fighting season is year-round. The reservoir is a warm-water fishery that supports white bass, walleye, white crappie, catfish, and brown and rainbow trout. A health advisory has been issued by the State of Nevada regarding consumption of fish caught in the reservoir due to mercury contamination.

Report: Very quite lake with some big fish that I never seem to catch. Bugs aren't too bad unless you're at the delta or diversion dam. There are some nice places to eat with friends and neat camp spots. My favorite thing about this lake is that you can get a great fire going since there isn't a forest around you to burn down.
