General Information

Watch as rock climbers dangle on the side of the cliffs in this world-class paved, scenic loop drive, visitor center and day-use area. This National Conservation Area also has a fee campground for your overnight use.

Also, featured is the 13-mile paved, scenic loop drive, which is the Back Country Byway. This is all just a short 20-30 minute drive west of Las Vegas.

Recreation - Facilities in this region include, wildlife viewing, bird watching, scenic viewing, scenic driving, rock climbing and hiking.

Climate - Typical low desert conditions, winters are mild with temperatures ranging from freezing to 75 degrees. Daily summer highs usually exceed 100 degrees and may reach 120 degrees. Summer temperatures do not vary widely from day to night.
