Description - Franklin D. Roosevelt State Park is a lovely wooded park located several miles north of the New Croton Reservoir off the Taconic State Parkway. This large day use park offers expansive picnic and swimming opportunities. Boaters and anglers enjoy the Mohansic Lake and Crom Pond. Boat rentals are available. The park is open year-round from 8:00 a.m. to dusk.

Franklin D. Roosevelt State Park
- Franklin D. Roosevelt State Park's spacious picnic areas accommodate hundreds of people who visit the park daily. People of all ages also enjoy the park's oasis of blue water amid the green of the countryside. Swimming is provided in a mammoth pool that will accommodate several thousand people at one time. Mohansic Lake and Crom Pond provide excellent fishing and boating. For boating enthusiast, rowboat rentals are available in season and privately owned boats may be launched with a permit which maybe purchased at the park office.
Recreation - Franklin D. Roosevelt State Park offers biking, hiking, fishing, a children's playground, picnic tables and shelters, a swimming pool, boat launch, boat rental, concession area, recreation programs and winter cross-country skiing, ice skating and snowmobiling. The park is open year-round from 8:00 a.m. to dusk.
Climate - The Roosevelt State Park area has a varied climate with average January temperatures ranging from above 22 degrees down to 18 degrees Fahrenheit (above -6 degrees Celsius). Summer temperatures average around 72 degrees Fahrenheit (22 degrees Celsius). Precipitation in the region ranges from 40 to more than 44 inches of rain and snowmelt.
Franklin D. Roosevelt State Park is located several miles north of the New Croton Reservoir off the Taconic State Parkway and south of US 202.
