Description - Located just 1 mile west of Alexandria Bay, Keewaydin State Park rests along SR 12 offering excellent boating and fishing opportunities year-round. Rocky terrain enhances lookout points. A campground, swimming pool and picnic area are offered.

Keewaydin State Park
- Keewaydin State Park is on the St. Lawrence River, offering excellent boating, fishing and, during the winter, ice fishing and cross-country skiing. The sheltered marina provides dock space for seasonal and transient visitors. Overlooking the river are 41 campsites. The park's terrain includes steep, rocky outcroppings between the campsites and the shoreline, providing vantage points for watching the oceangoing vessels traversing the river. The park also has a swimming pool and picnic areas.
Recreation - Keewaydin State Park offers a boat launch site, boat rental, dockage, fishing, marina, power boating, picnic area, a children's playground, a swimming pool and campground with showers. Ice Fishing is enjoyed in winter. The fishing site, picnic area, campground and swimming pool are handicapped accessible. The park is open year round, with the marina open from mid-May through October. Camping season opens in mid-May and runs through Labor Day.
Climate - The Keewaydin State Park area has a varied climate with average January temperatures ranging from below 14 degrees reaching to 22 degrees Fahrenheit (below -10 to -6 degrees Celsius). Summer temperatures average between 72 degrees and below 68 degrees Fahrenheit (22 to below 20 degrees Celsius). Precipitation in the region ranges from less than 36 to 40 inches of rain and snowmelt.
