Description - Moreau Lake State Park is a very scenic park offering a variety of outdoor recreation year-round. Located several miles north of Saratoga Springs, this park entertains thousands of visitors each year who enjoy hiking, fishing, sightseeing and more. Both day use and overnight facilities are offered.

Moreau Lake State Park
- Moreau Lake State Park's lake lies amid hardwood forests, pine stands and rocky ridges. Shady groves of trees shelter picnic grounds and a pavilion overlooking the lake. Wooded campgrounds are quiet and secluded, offering facilities for group campers, as well as tent and trailer sites. The sandy beach, nature, hiking and cross-country ski trails, opportunities for boating, fishing and ice fishing and proximity to the Saratoga Spring and Lake George areas make the park attractive to visitors.
Recreation - Visitors to Moreau Lake enjoy fishing year-round, hiking trails, hunting grounds, a campground, cabin rental, group camping, picnic areas, recreation programs, a swimming beach and a variety of winter sports including cross-country skiing, snowmobiling and ice fishing. A number of the amenities are handicapped accessible. The park is open year round. Camping season runs from mid-May through mid-October. The beach is open for swimming from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day. Deer hunting is permitted in a limited area in season. Vehicle access in the winter months is limited.
Climate - The Moreau Lake area has a varied climate with average January temperatures ranging from 14 to 22 degrees Fahrenheit (-10 to -6 degrees Celsius). Summer temperatures average around 72 degrees Fahrenheit (22 degrees Celsius). Precipitation in the region ranges from 36 to more than 44 inches of rain and snowmelt. A slender parcel along the eastern state line receive the heaviest precipitation.
Located at Moreau Lake, this park may be reached by traveling south of Glens Falls on US 87 to Exit 17S.
