Description - Rockland Lake State Park is a day use facility bursting with amenities and natural scenery. Situated along banks of Rockland Lake on a ridge of Hook Mountain, the park boasts two Olympic-sized swimming pools, picnicking, boat launch and rental, hiking trials, six tennis courts and two 18-hole golf courses. This park attracts warmwater anglers and a variety winter sports enthusiasts.

Both golf courses offer a round of 18 holes, one with a 72 par and the other 54 par (no clubhouse). The courses also offer power carts, pro shops, club rentals and driving range.
- Rockland Lake State Park's lake is located on a ridge of Hook Mountain above the west bank of the Hudson River. The park offers two Olympic-sized swimming pools and two kiddie pools, picnic tables and grills, a cartop boat launch and boat rentals, hiking trails with breathtaking views of the Hudson Valley, six tennis courts and two golf courses. Anglers can fish Rockland Lake for bass, perch and norlunge; walkers and joggers can use the fitness trail around the lake. Winter visitors can enjoy designated cross-country ski trails and sledding slopes.
Recreation - Visitors to this fabulous park enjoy biking, hiking, golfing, a nature trail, fishing, boat rental, boat launch, tennis, swimming, recreation programs, ice skating, cross-country skiing and sledding.

Climate - The Rockland Lake area experiences average January temperatures above 22 degrees Fahrenheit (above -6 degrees Celsius). Summer temperatures average around 72 degrees Fahrenheit (around 22 degrees Celsius). Precipitation in the region ranges from 40 to more than 44 inches of rain and snowmelt. The central Catskills receive the highest precipitation.
