Manhattan Beach State Recreation Site

Description - You'll find this day-use park just off of Highway 101 north of Rockaway. After a leisurely lunch, kick off your shoes and take the short walk down the access trail to the ocean beach.
Attractions
- Manhattan Beach is a thoroughly relaxing spot with beach access and a beautiful picnic area. Picnic tables are nestled into small cul-de-sacs surrounded by shore pine to provide a break from the wind. Vital stats: There is no fee to use this park.
Recreation - In addition to beach access, Manhattan Beach offers opportunities for beachcombing, picnicking, and fishing. Climate - The Oregon coast receives abundant rainfall, mostly between October and April. July and August bring the best chance for clear days. Summer temperatures are normally moderate and almost never hot. Winter temperatures are normally cool at the lower elevations and cold at the higher elevations. Although snow is possible in the lowest elevations, it is infrequent and does not stay on the ground for long. Location -
Manhattan Beach is located on Oregon's North Coast, just off U.S. Highway 101, 2 miles north of Rockaway Beach.
