General Information

Description - This park offers nice, quiet, wind-protected picnic sites. Hiking and walking trails provide spectacular views of ocean, offshore rocks and sheltered coves. Enjoy the historic Port Orford Heads United States Coast Guard Lifeboat Station. Large resident blacktail deer population.

Recreation - Port Orford offers beach access and opportunities for hiking, walking, picnicking and marine wildlife watching.

Climate - The Oregon coast receives abundant rainfall, mostly between October and April. July and August bring the best chance for clear days. Summer temperatures are normally moderate and almost never hot. Winter temperatures are normally cool at the lower elevations and cold at the higher elevations. Although snow is possible in the lowest elevations, it is infrequent and does not stay on the ground for long.

Location - Port Orford State Park is located on US 101, Port Orford. In the southern coastal region of Oregon.
