Description - The Pocono Mountains abound in natural wonders. The Glens Natural Area has 22 named waterfalls in a scenic gorge with old growth timber. You can also try whitewater rafting on the Lehigh River. The Pocono Mountains have dozens of scenic overlooks and miles of hiking trails. Renowned for honeymoons, it is a great place for a family vacation.

Recreation - Folks love to return to this vacation haven year after year to enjoy the state parks and forests. Gamefish and deer are never more than a few minutes away. Bird-watching, boating, mountain biking, hiking, whitewater boating and photography are popular pastimes. Cross-country skiing and down hill skiing are growing recreation opportunities. The area is also a showcase for the industrial history of Pennsylvania. Climate - Pennsylvania generally has a moist climate with cold winters and warm summers. The Pocono Area has cold winter months with temperatures averaging around 22 to 24 degrees Fahrenheit (-6 to -4 degrees Celsius). The area's average summer temperatures range around 68 to 72 degrees Fahrenheit (20 to 22 Celsius). Location -
The Pocono Mountains / Endless Mountains Area is located in Pennsylvania' northeastern area bordered by New York and New Jersey. The southern area of the regions stretches down to Allentown while the western side hugs Wilkes-Barre.
