Description - Sand Bridge State Park is located in Union County in about the middle of the state just south of Interstate 180. It is a small, quaint park where you can enjoy a quiet picnic lunch and take in the surrounding scenery. A short climb to the pavilion offers wonderful views of the valley and a beautiful stream.

Recreation - Sand Bridge State Park offers restful picnicking available at several tables or at a lovely shelter that offers a view of the surrounding valley. A beautiful stream is also visible from the picnic shelter.

Climate - Pennsylvania generally has a moist climate with cold winters and warm summers. The Sand Bridge State Park area has cold winter months with temperatures averaging around 24 to 28 degrees Fahrenheit (-4 to -2 degrees Celsius). The area's average summer temperatures range around 68 to 72 degrees Fahrenheit (20 to 22 Celsius).
