General Information

Description - This information was provided by NEBRASKA GAME AND PARKS COMMISSION

Riverview Marina SRA, with its access to the Missouri River, is very popular. It is a 47-acre site adjacent to the Missouri River that offers electrical and primitive campsites with a shower house. The area offers camping, fishing and picnicking.

Campers at Riverview Marina State Recreation Area have a choice of pad sites with electricity or more primitive non-pad sites. The area has modern restroom facilities with showers.

Recreation - The area offers camping, fishing and picnicking.

Climate - Nebraska has a moderate climate with high humidity. The relative humidity in this state averages 70 percent throughout the year. Winter temperatures normally average between 20 and 45 degrees F. March brings warmer weather and temperatures above freezing for most of the month. Spring is in full swing by late April when temperatures often reach above 60 degrees F. Summer temperatures reach highs of 95 degrees F frequently, with warm weather continuing into mid September. Crisp fall weather truly begins in October when nighttime temperatures begin to dip into the low 40s. The wettest time of the year in this state is late spring through summer.

From Lincoln:

Proceed on Bus. Hwy. 2. Bus. Hwy. 2 will become 4th Corso. Follow 4th Corso east to 6th Street. Turn north (left) on 6th Street and continue to ….. Ave. Turn east (right) two blocks to 4th Street. Turn north (left) on 4th Street and follow road into Riverview Marina. There are brown Nebraska State Recreation directional signs to follow as well.

From Omaha:

Take Hwy. 75 south. Exit at Bus. Hwy. 75 turning east (left). Continue on Bus. Hwy. 75 winding into town. Bus. Hwy. 75 becomes 11th Street. Continue on 11th Street (Bus. Hwy. 75) to 4th Corso (Bus. Hwy 2). Will be the second traffic light on 11th Street. Turn east (left) on 4th Corso and continue to 6th Street. Turn north (left) on 6th Street and continue to 7th Ave. Turn east (right) two blocks to 4th Street. Turn north (left) on 4th Street and follow road into Riverview Marina. There are brown Nebraska State Recreation directional signs to follow as well.

From Omaha, I-29:

Go I-29 south to Nebraska City exit. Take Hwy. 2 over the Missouri River bridge which becomes the J. Sterling Morton Beltway. Take the FIRST turn west (right) after the bridge. This will be 4th Corso. Follow 4th Corso to 6th Street. Turn north (right) on 6th Street and continue to 7th Ave. Turn east (right) two blocks to 4th Street. Turn north (left) on 4th Street and follow road into Riverview Marina. There are brown Nebraska State Recreation directional signs to follow as well.
