Description - Green lake is a popular walk, within Seattle's 535 acre Discovery Park, and includes forests, bluffs and beaches. The nearby Olympic and Cascade mountain ranges provide great hiking skiing and camping opportunities. Sailing and Kayaking on the Puget Sound, or through the Strait of Georgia and the Strait of Juan de Fuca are also very popular. The San Juan Islands provide wonderful water passageways coupled with beautiful sunny weather, for both experienced sailors and passengers aboard Washington state ferries bound for Victoria alike.
