Description - Texas State Parks occupy more than 500,000 acres of pristine ecosystems, historical sites and facilities.
Attractions
- The range of attractions within the Texas State Parks is tremendous. The parks include canyons, lakes, rivers, coastal areas, forests, historic sites and much more.
Recreation - The majority of the parks offer camping, hiking and picnicking opportunities. Other popular activities available in the parks include fishing, boating, water skiing, swimming, horseback riding, biking, backpacking, canoeing, sailing, beach activities, viewing scenery, and viewing historic sites. Climate - Texas is a huge state with varying climates but generally the climate could be said to be primarily hot and humid in the summer months and mild to cool in the winter. Western Texas receives very little rainfall with the exception of the higher elevations. This is the driest area of the state having a relative humidity of 50 percent and an annual rainfall average of eight inches. Location -
