General Information

Description - New Mexico Department of Game and Fish stocks the reservoir and provides law enforcement. Boating is permitted and must conform to New Mexico regulations. Boating fees are charged.

Recreation - Year-round fishing for white bass, catfish, and bream. Scuba diving for game fish permitted.

Location - Located 3 miles north of Carlsbad. Good roads to recreation area. Good to fair roads around reservoir.
