General Information

Description - Quail Creek State Park lies on the western shore of Quail Creek Reservoir a short distance from St. George, Utah. It lies at an elevation of 3,300 feet, allowing for hot summers and mild winters. A variety of facilities for boating, camping and fishing are maintained at Quail Creek State Park and open year round.

Attractions - The facilities at this state park include a 23-site campground, two picnic pavilions, drinking water, modern restrooms, showers, a boat ramp and fish cleaning stations. A group campsite and is also available. The stay limit at the campground is 14 days.

Recreation - Recreation opportunities at Quail Creek State Park include boating, fishing and camping. Each of these pursuits are available year round at this site. Off-highway vehicle trails are located on nearby public lands.

Climate - The climate in southwestern Utah is arid and warm. The elevation of 3,300 feet allows for very mild winter temperatures and sweltering summer temperatures. Spring and fall are the most pleasant seasons in which to visit this park. Expect warm days and cool nights. Summer temperatures can easily reach 95 degrees F and do often in July, August and early September. Winter nights can be cold with temperatures dipping near freezing and slightly below. Usually the winter sunshine elevates daytime temperatures to 55 degrees and higher.

Location - This state park facility lies along Utah Highway 212, 14 miles northeast of St. George, Utah.
