Rockport State Park
Description - Rockport State Park lies at an elevation of 6,000 feet and encompasses 550 acres, that include a reservoir and developed recreation facilities on it's shoreline. The site is well known for water sports, including boating, fishing, waterskiing and swimming. It is open year round with limited facilities in the winter.

Attractions - Facilities at Rockport State Park include eight campgrounds, that offer both developed
and primitive camping in a variety of settings. Other recreation facilities include picnic grounds, group pavilions, a boat ramp, beach, modern restrooms, showers and a sewage disposal station. A cross-country ski trail is available during the winter and ice fishing also is popular.

Recreation - Visitors can enjoy fishing, boating, camping, swimming and picnicking during the warmer months. During the winter visitors can participate in cross-country skiing, camping and ice fishing. Opportunities for hiking, mountain biking and off-road vehicle use are available in the National Forest and Bureau of Land Management lands surrounding the park.

Climate - Rockport State Park lies in the Wasatch Mountains at an elevation of 6,000 feet. Like the rest of Utah, this area is relatively arid. Summers are pleasant with hot days and cool evenings. Spring and fall weather can vary dramatically, so be prepared for a variety of conditions with layers of clothing. Winter can be cold with snow. Much of the precipitation accumulated throughout the year occurs in this season. Dress in warm layers for winter, but bring sunscreen and sunglasses. A brimmed hat is essential in every season due to the high elevation of this site.

Location - This park lies in north central Utah approximately 45 miles east of Salt Lake City on Utah State Highway 32.
