- The George Washington Memorial Parkway is a 44 mile route that begins at Mt. Vernon traveling parallel to the Potomac River, intersecting with the Woodrow Wilson Memorial Bridge, passing Arlington Cemetery and on up to Great Falls National Park.
Recreation - This busy metropolitan area is full of recreation opportunities of all tastes. The parkway begins at George Washington's home Mount Vernon and travels into the busy northern Virginia area. Numerous historic landmarks are visible from the car seat.

From Fredericksburg, Virginia take Interstate 95 north to Rt. 1. Take Rt. 1 east for about 8 miles. Turn right on Rt. 235 which leads you to the entrance of Mount Vernon and signs for the parkway.
