General Information

Description - The Virgin Islands sit between the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean. The eastern islands that include Tortola, Virgin Gorda, Jost Van Dyke and Anegada are The British Virgin Islands. These islands are overseas territory of the United Kingdom. The western islands; St. Croix, St. John, St. Thomas and Water Island make up The United States

Attractions - The Virgin Islands provide an amazing playground for the outdoor enthusiast. From white sand beaches and crystal clear blue water, historic sites and hiking trails to camping and biking, The Virgin Islands have it all.

Recreation - Recreational activities in the Virgin Islands include swimming, fishing, snorkeling, scuba diving, boating, hiking, biking, camping and visiting historic sites.

Climate - The Virgin Islands enjoy a tropical climate, moderated by trade winds. The average daily high is about 89 degrees with the average daily low being about 75 degrees for the summer. The rainfall is greater in the hills than on the coast. September and November see more rainfall than the driest months which are February and March.

Location - The Virgin Islands are located in the Caribbean between the Caribbean Sea and The North Atlantic Ocean
