General Information

Description - Jarrell Cove State Park, in south coastal Washington, is located on the northwest end of Harstine Island, in Mason County. Recreational activities at the park include picnicking, hiking, boating, clamming, camping and fishing.

Attractions - Jarrel-Cove State Park covers 42.62 acres with 3,506 feet of saltwater shoreline on Pickering Passage. The park offers 17 picnic sites, two picnic shelters, 20 tent sites, a group camp, a marine pump out, two docks and moorage piers, 14 mooring buoys, and an administrative area.

Recreation - Recreational activities at the park include picnicking, hiking, boating, clamming, camping and fishing.

Climate - Washington's climate varies with each region. The Cascades split the state and alter weather patterns. Western Washington is temperate, due to the coastal geography. The water is a stabilizing force for the climate, making extreme temperatures rare. The area receives large amounts of rainfall from Pacific storms and some snow during winter months.
