General Information

Description - Maryhill State Park covers 98.4 acres with 4,700 square feet of waterfront footage. The park features 50 campsites with hookups, 20 standard campsites, a group camp, 50 picnic sites, 3 non-vehicle sites, 3 comfort stations, 2 kitchen shelters, contact station, shop, trailer dump, boat launch, unguarded swimming beach, bathhouse, and 2 residences.

Recreation - Activities at the park include boating, camping, fishing, hiking, picnicking, swimming, water skiing and wind surfing.

Climate - Washington's climate varies with each region. The Cascades split the state and alter weather patterns. Lyons Ferry State Park, located east of the mountains, receives significantly less rainfall than regions west of the mountains with an average annual precipitation of twelve inches.

Average summer temperatures are 94 degrees maximum and 50 degrees minimum. Because central Washington is landlocked and subject to winter winds, winter temperatures are much colder than those in western Washington.

Location - Maryhill State Park is located along the Columbia River in Klickitat County, just 12 miles south of Goldendale on State Route 14.

Report: Great Park Ranger and Park Host! Every year we go there. A group of us older motorcyclists. We camp in the RV area because it's usually guieter then the camping area. The park is very clean and so are the bathrooms. There's plenty of places to walk and many things to see. Look forward to it every year for the last 17 years.

Wine Country - As you cross the mountains from the west on your way to Wine Country, you emerge from the forest into the naked sun and dry, rippling hills of the Yakima Valley. Stretched out ahead, the Saddle Mountains wear little foliage and the bones of the earth are suddenly visible.
