Description
- Peshastin Pinnacle State Park covers 34.4 acres and offers six picnic sites, 8,350 feet of trail, an 80-car parking lot, a 40-car overflow parking lot, two vault toilets, an information board, and an emergency phone. Of special interest is the unique sandstone spires and formations that are contained in this rock climbing park
Recreation - As a popular rock climbing area, the park also offers hiking, picnicking, and bird watching. Climate - The climate of Washington varies within each region. The Cascades split the state and alter the weather patterns. The terrain east of the mountains, which includes Peshastin Pinnacles State Park, receives approximately 12 inches of rainfall per year, generally much less than west of the mountains. Since the area east of the mountains is landlocked, temperatures in this region are lower during the winter months. Frequent winds coming down from the mountains also contribute to the low temperatures of eastern Washington. Location -
Peshastin Pinnacles State Park, in south central Washington and part of Chelan County, is located 2 miles east of Cashmere off of U.S. 2 on North Dryden Road in the Wenatchee National Forest.
