General Information

Description - Stretch Point State park covers four acres with 610 feet of saltwater shoreline on Case Inlet. The only park amenity is five moorage buoys.

Facility use is first come, first served, with continuous moorage limited to three consecutive nights. The park is part of the Marine Parks and Boat Moorage system and fees are charged for moorage. Call (360) 753-5771 for a fee update, as all fees are subject to change.

Recreation - Picnicking, beachcombing, boating, clamming and fishing are activities enjoyed in the park.

Climate - The low rolling hills and sheltered inland salt water that make up the Puget Sound basin produce a mild, marine climate characterized by wintertime clouds, rain, and sometimes a light snow, but lots of summertime sunshine.

Maximum winter temperatures are in the mid- to high 40s with minimum temperatures in the mid 30s. Summers are warm with maximum and minimum temperatures in the mid 70s and low 50s, respectively. This area averages 51 inches of precipitation per year.

Location - Stretch Point State Park is located 12 miles north of Shelton on Stretch Island in Mason County. It is accessible only by water.
