Description
- Wallace Falls State Park covers 1,400 acres with 6,300 feet of freshwater shoreline on Wallace River and Wallace Lake. Park facilities include a 56-car parking lot, 5.5 miles of trail with scenic vistas, a trailside picnic shelter, campground picnic shelter, six walk-in tent sites and a comfort station. No facilities are available at Wallace Lake at this time.
Recreation - Hiking, nature study, tent camping, picnicking, jogging, freshwater fishing, berry picking, mushrooming and mountain biking are some of the activities enjoyed in the park. Climate - The climate in this area is influenced by both the mountains and the bodies of water to the west. It is generally a mild and temperate marine climate. However, because it is not on the ocean, temperatures will fluctuate more than the coastal areas. Winters are cool, cloudy and rainy. Maximum winter temperatures are in the low to high 40s with minimum temperatures in the mid 30s. Summers are warm and relatively dry with maximum and minimum temperatures in the low 70s and low 50s, respectively. This area averages 35 inches of precipitation per year. Location -
Wallace Falls State Park is located approximately 30 miles east of Everett and two miles northeast of Gold Bar off U.S. Highway 2 in eastern Snohomish County.
