Description - The lakes and reservoirs of Montana are popular destinations for a wide variety of outdoor activity including boating, camping, swimming, fishing, wate sports, and viewing wildlife. From the mountains in the west across the vast plains, Montana offers a wide variation in scenery and outdoor experiences.

Attractions - The services and recreation experiences vary greatly across the terrain and the many lakes and reservoirs of Montana and include camp sites, resturants and marinas.

Recreation - Montana's lakes and reservoirs offe a wide variety of outdoor recreation including fishing, Camping, and other water sports. Hunting and hiking trails are often available nearby.

Climate - The climate in Montana varies with the terrain. The western region of the state receives storm systems from the Pacific Ocean, which tend to be temperate. Because of its mountainous topography the region receives significant snowfall amounts, with winter temperatures usually below freezing.
