Description - This park emerged from a cooperative flood control project on the shores of the West Branch of the Susquehanna River. Operated by the Williamsport Chamber of Commerce, this park's primary attraction is the recreational riverboat Hiawatha, which is a modern paddle wheeler that offers river excursions May through October.

Recreation - The recreational riverboat, Hiawatha is a modern paddle wheeler that offers river excursions May through October. For more information on the Hiawatha Riverboat, call 570-326-2500.

Tiadaghton State Forest is south of the park and it offers rifle range, hunting, fishing and hiking opportunities.

Climate - Pennsylvania generally has a moist climate with cold winters and warm summers. The Susquehanna State Park area has cold winter months with temperatures averaging around 24 to 28 degrees Fahrenheit (-4 to -2 degrees Celsius). The area's average summer temperatures range around 68 to 72 degrees Fahrenheit (20 to 22 Celsius).

Location - Susquehanna State Park is located in the southeastern edge of Williamsport along US 220 and the West Branch Susquehanna River.
