Description - Sergeant Jasper Park received its name from the American Revolutionary War hero, Sergeant William Jasper, defender of Fort Moultrie. The park is located in Jasper County, which has a short southern coast along the Atlantic Ocean that includes a portion of the Sea Islands. The county park encompasses 442 acres of pine wetland providing favorable habitat for a variety of waterfowl, plant life, and a profusion of migratory birds. The area is rich in American history; serving as battle sites for the Cusabo Indians, colonial-era turbulence, and a Civil War battle where Union troops trampled the Confederates after their seizure of Savanna, Georgia.

The meeting building may be rented for business meetings, family reunions, or club gatherings. Visitors will find the county facility convenient to Interstate 95 near Hardeeville.
