Aspen Loop Trail Mancos-Dolores Ranger District,
San Juan National Forest
The Aspen Loop Trail is a multipurpose trail constructed by the San Juan National Forest and the Four Corners Trail Club with funding from the Forest Service and the Colorado State Trails Program.
Burro Bridge Campground Mancos-Dolores Ranger District,
San Juan National Forest
Burro Bridge is 2 miles past Dunton and is a good base camp for hikes into the Lizard Head Wilderness. One site has a table suitable for wheelchairs.
House Creek Recreation Area Mancos-Dolores Ranger District,
San Juan National Forest
Reservations can be obtained through the Reservation Center for some sites. Fishing, walking, mountain bike riding and all kinds of boating activities are possible here.
Johnny Bull Trail Mancos-Dolores Ranger District,
San Juan National Forest
The spruce-fir environment and its associated groves of aspen, Douglas fir, juniper, and sedge are interrupted by stream crossings and lush meadows. This is the trail of choice for wildlife sightings.

Little Bear Trail provides access to the more heavily used Bear Creek Trail.
McPhee Reservior Recreation Area Mancos-Dolores Ranger District,

McPhee Reservoir is the largest reservoir in the San Juan and Rio Grande National Forests.
Metaska Picnic Ground Mancos-Dolores Ranger District,
San Juan National Forest
Metaska Picnic Site is 4 miles southeast of Ferris Canyon, has 5 tables, a toilet, and hand pumps for water.
Transfer Group Picnic Ground Mancos-Dolores Ranger District,
San Juan National Forest
The group picnic area has five double tables, a large group area, a serving table, and cooking grills, as well as a large fire pit and amphitheater, ideal for evening storytelling. Smaller, free family picnic sites are also available.
