Florida Campground is four miles north of Miller Creek above the reservoir. Colorado blue spruce, Douglas fir, and aspen dominate the area.
Graham Creek Campground Columbine Ranger District,
San Juan National Forest
About two miles north of Old Timers Campground is Graham Creek Campground, with 25 sites and a rough, natural-surface boat ramp. The hillside sites are about 100 yards from the high-water line, and offer a choice of sun or shade.
Haviland Lake Campground Columbine Ranger District,
San Juan National Forest
Haviland Lake Campground has scenic and convenient campsites a mile off of U.S. 550. With the Hermosa Cliffs in the background, morning views across the reservoir are memorable.
Junction Creek Campground Columbine Ranger District,

Junction Creek Campground is a good base camp for Durango activities. The campground is on a south-facing hillside a small distance above Junction Creek.
Kroeger Campground Columbine Ranger District,

The campground is six miles up the canyon and shaded by a mixture of spruce, fir, aspen, and cottonwood. Expect cool nights during the summer at this elevation of 9,000 feet.
Middle Mountain Campground Columbine Ranger District,

Middle Mountain Campground is on the east shore just across the Pine River from Pine Point Campground. Middle Mountain Campground offers 24 sites with southern exposure and easy access to the water of Vallecito Reservoir.
Miller Creek Campground Columbine Ranger District,

Miller Creek Campground, about two miles north of the dam, has a concrete boat ramp at its north end. Eleven campsites offer a choice of sun or shade, and an asphalt road surface helps keep the dust down.
North Canyon Campground Columbine Ranger District,
San Juan National Forest
North Canyon Campground is open only during the peak midsummer season, and is 0.5 mile north of Graham Creek Campground. Although the 21 sites are several long, level ones suitable for large RVs.
Old Timers Campground Columbine Ranger District,
San Juan National Forest
Old Timers Campground sits on the east shore of Vallecito Reservoir. Eleven well-shaded sites provide a cool, intimate setting on a gentle hillside near the water, with an adjacent gravel boat ramp.
Pine Point Campground Columbine Ranger District,
San Juan National Forest
The Pine Point Campground is 1/2 mile north of North Canyon Campground, at the upper end of the lake. The campground offers good views of the high, often snowcapped peaks to the northwest.
Pine River Campground Columbine Ranger District,
San Juan National Forest
Pine River Campground and Trailhead are located four miles beyond Middle Mountain Campground. This area is often used as a temporary base camp and parking area for hikers and backpackers.
Sig Creek Campground Columbine Ranger District,
San Juan National Forest
Sig Creek Campground is six miles west of the Purgatory resort, on the Hermosa Park Road (Forest Road 578). Nine sites on four acres sit on a south-facing hillside about 0.25 mile from the East Fork of Hermosa Creek.
Snowslide Campground Columbine Ranger District,
San Juan National Forest
Snowslide Campground sits 5 miles up La Plata Canyon from Highway 160. La Plata Canyon and its campgrounds are heavily used during the camping season.
South Mineral Campground Columbine Ranger District,
San Juan National Forest
South Mineral Campground is the last developed camping area along U.S. Highway 550 on the San Juan National Forest. The campground has 26 sites which are mostly level, at 9,800 feet.
Transfer Park Campground Columbine Ranger District,
San Juan National Forest
Transfer Park Campground, at 8,600 feet, is a mile up the road from Florida Campground. The campground is 11 acres and offers cool settings under mixed conifers and small aspens.
Vallecito Campground Columbine Ranger District,
San Juan National Forest
The Vallecito Campground is one of the largest and most popular on the Forest. The campground is adjacent to Vallecito Creek and the Weminuche Wilderness.
