Beaver Creek Trail (Canyon Lakes Ranger District) Canyon Lakes Ranger District,
Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests
This trail begins near Pingree Park, west of Fort Collins. It leads past Comanche Reservoir and eventually connects with the Flowers Trail or the Brown's Lake Trail.
Bellaire Lake Campground Canyon Lakes Ranger District,
Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests
Bellaire Lake Campground is located about 50 miles northwest of Fort Collins in the Red Feather Lakes area, at an elevation of 8,650 feet.
Bluebird Lake Trail Rocky Mountain National Park This is a long hike to a scenic lake. It begins at the Wild Basin Trailhead and leads past Copeland Falls, Calypso Cascades, Ouzel Falls and Ouzel Lake on the way to Bluebird Lake.
Browns Lake Trail Canyon Lakes Ranger District,
Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests
Brown's Lake Trail is located west of Fort Collins. It leads from the Crown Point Road to Brown's and Timberline Lakes, then on to the Beaver Creek Trail.
Dowdy Lake Campground Canyon Lakes Ranger District,
Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests
Dowdy Lake is located about 46 miles northwest of Fort Collins in the Red Feather Lakes area. The campground sits adjacent to Dowdy Lake at an elevation of 8,140 feet.
East Inlet Trail Rocky Mountain National Park This trail begins near Grand Lake and leads past Adams Falls, Lone Pine Lake, Lake Verna and Spirit Lake.
Fern Lake Trail Rocky Mountain National Park This trail begins at the end of Moraine Park Road and leads to The Pool, at the confluences of Spruce and Fern Creeks with the Big Thompson River. It is a good winter hike.
Glacier Gorge Trail (to Alberta Falls) Rocky Mountain National Park This trail leads past Alberta Falls, Glacier Falls, Mills Lake and Ribbon Falls before ending at Black Lake. The beautiful view from Mills Lake is one of the park's finest.
North Inlet Trail Rocky Mountain National Park This trail begins near the north side of Grand Lake and leads past Cascade Falls then continues up North Inlet to either Lake Nanita or the Continental Divide.
Timber Lake Trail Rocky Mountain National Park This trail on the west side of the park begins off Highway 34 in the Kawuneeche Valley. It is a strenuous 4.8 mile hike up to Timber Lake.
Timberline Falls Trail Rocky Mountain National Park This trail begins at Glacier Gorge Junction. Scenic Loch Vale is enjoyed while on your way to the beautiful Timberline Falls. The trail continues to Lake of Glass and Sky Pond.
West Lake Campground Canyon Lakes Ranger District,
Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests
West Lake Campground is located on West Lake in the Redfeather Lakes area, about 44 miles northwest of Fort Collins. It sits at an elevation of 8,200 feet.
