Avalanche Family Campground is located south of Carbondale on Avalanche Creek. This site provides easy access to the Maroon Bells - Snowmass Wilderness.

Bogan Flats Campground is 25 miles south of Carbondale. It is located adjacent to the Crystal River. It is one of the most scenic and therefore popular campgrounds on the Sopris District.
Chapman Campground Sopris Ranger District,

Chapman Campground is located adjacent to the Fryingpan River. If you are an angler, the lower Fryingpan is classified as a gold medal water by the Colorado Division of Wildlife.
Coffee Pot Spring Campground Eagle Ranger District,

Elk Wallow is located 40 miles east of Carbondale, adjacent to the North Fork of the Fryingpan River. This campground is most suited for guests looking for a quiet, relatively primitive setting.

The Roaring Fork River is a freestone river that has many different faces as it travels throughout the Roaring Fork Valley. It originates on Independence Pass and culminates at the confluence with the Colorado River in Glenwood Springs.
Ruedi Reservoir Ruedi Reservoir Recreation facilities around the lake consist of four campgrounds accommodating 81 campsites and two boat-launching ramps. The lake covers about 997 acres and is approximately 5 miles long.

This campground at 10,760 feet elevation, is located on the edge of a small lake on the Flat Tops in the Deep Lake/Heart Lake area.

This campground sits in the bottom of a deep valley at an elevation of 7,740 feet, on the edge of Sweetwater Lake.
Sylvan Lake Campground Eagle Ranger District,

This state-operated campground on the edge of scenic Sylvan Lake, sits at an elevation of 8,558 feet, and offers 50 campsites.
Three Forks Rifle Ranger District,

Yeoman Park Campground Eagle Ranger District,

This scenic campground with 23 sites sits along East Brush Creek south of Eagle, at an elevation of 9,000 feet.
